Chinese cuisine has a long history, and is one of the Chinese cultural treasures . It is famous all over the world. Here I list the most popular 8 dishes which are highly praised by westerners.
1. Sweet and Sour Pork

Sweet and Sour Pork is a Chinese dish that is particularly popular in Cantonese cuisine. Now, it is the ubiquitous and arguably most well-known Chinese recipes around the world.

Sweet and Sour Pork is very pleasing to the palate because of the flavorsome sweet and sour sauce - the sweetness from sugar plus tangy ketchup and sharp rice vinegar - with the crispy fried pork pieces. The green and red bell peppers and pineapple pieces are just icing on the cake.

2. Kung Pao Chicken

Kung Pao Chicken is a classic dish in Szechuan cuisine, and the dish exists in both traditional Sichuan and Westernized version which is more popular in the United States and Canada.

Westernized versions, usually called 'Kung Pao Chicken', commonly consist of diced marinated chicken stir-fried with skinless unsalted roasted peanuts, chopped, sliced, or diced red bell peppers, sherry or rice wine, hoisin sauce, oyster sauce, and chili peppers. Although chicken is traditionally used, seafood items such as shrimp or scallops, or other meats such as beef or pork, are sometimes used in place of the chicken. It can also be prepared with tofu instead of meat.
